Wine - red, white or rose from Languedoc,
France!

Since 1989, Domaines Virginie has grown wine in Languedoc-Roussillon.
This young company, formed by businessmen and winegrowers in
the region, has developed new fermentation techniques and opened
up to new markets.
Languedoc Roussillon, a remarkable land fashioned by History
but also by the light, the wind and the Mediterranean... The
art of winegrowing was imported here by the major ancient civilisations
– the Greeks, Romans, Benedictines and Cathars all left their
imprint.
The Languedoc Roussillon enjoys a wonderful geological diversity:
shale, marl, roundstone, sandy-clay...which gives the wines
their aroma and taste.
But the terroir is not only the soil. It is also the generous
climate of sun and wind, and the garrigue scrubland, whose vegetation
is fragrant with rosemary, fennel, mint and almond, which all
give strength and nuance to our wines.
In 1999, the Domaines Virginie joined the Castel Group, which
was keen to acquire a successful winemaking tool in Languedoc-Roussillon.
